What i have to prepeare before i order movers
Whether you decide to proceed with a single job or use our discount on multiple projects, we take the worry out of home improvements from start to finish.
1. Research & Shortlist Movers
Get at least 3 in-home or virtual estimates (never trust phone/email quotes alone).
Check DOT license (US), reviews on BBB/Yelp/Google, and insurance.
Ask:
Do you provide binding/not-to-exceed quotes?
What’s included (packing, disassembly, stairs, long carry)?
Extra fees for elevators, parking, bulky items?
2. Gather Packing Supplies (Even If Movers Pack)
Boxes, tape, bubble wrap, markers, mattress bags, furniture blankets.
Label boxes by room + priority (“Kitchen – Open First”).
3. Handle Logistics
Reserve elevator/parking at both buildings.
Transfer utilities (cancel old, start new).
4. Confirm Building Rules
Some condos/apartments require certificates of insurance (COI) from movers.
Check weight/time restrictions for freight elevators.
5. Budget for Hidden Costs
Tips ($20–50/mover), lunch, cleaning fees, storage, shuttle trucks (if big rig can’t park).
6. Final Walkthrough Prep
Clean out fridge, attic, crawl spaces, sheds.
Defrost freezer 48 hrs before.
Empty gas from lawnmowers/BBQs.
